How To Play

Playing the game is half the fun: the second half comes in the conversation after the game is done. After playing your game, be sure to take some time to debrief what happened. Below is a list of questions that can help guide your group in creating some meaningful discussion together. This is just a jumping off point for your debrief–make it your own! And remember, each player should only share as they feel safe, but be willing to stretch a little too! 

• What was your favorite moment in the game and what did you like about it?
• What moment in the game sparked an emotional response from you? What was funny, scary, joyful, or uncomfortable?
• What experiences from your own life were you reminded of through playing this game?
• How did it feel embodying your character’s perspective? How similar or different was your character’s perspective to your own?
• What do you wish had happened differently? What differences are you curious to explore?
• What’s something about your character that you want to take with you? What’s something about your character that you want to leave behind?
• What parallels from the game can you see in your experience with a church or religion?
• What lessons from this game’s story would you like to see integrated into your life? Into your/a church community?
• Where could you see themes of the Gospel appearing in the story?
• How do you think God would feel about or interact with the characters of this game?
